The Power Of Now

The Technology of the Brain and Where

TranQuil-Wiser comes into the "Mix"

(We will finally break down how "touch" is the only real sense. I wanted you to be fully prepared for the answer, and I wanted to share some valuable insight too - so if you got to this page thank you for riding the coaster)

You can do amazing things when you figure out the brains source code so to speak, how the mind receives and interprets what it receives. New cutting edge technologies are now being developed that reverse engineer controllable external stimulus. For example we know that the mind interprets sound from both ears and does simple math, for example: left minus right = Brain state.(alpha beta theta delta gamma etc..) to put it incredibly simply.

Read our binaural Beats explanation here to get a deeper understanding of this fascinating technological breakthrough!

This image (click link to view) is not an animation; it only appears to be moving because your brain is being tricked into seeing what’s not there! It is a jpeg not an animated gif file. What is happening is your brain is being affected by a confusing set of perceptions built into the structure of the picture. What this does with your eyes, our CD's do with your mental state by sculpting your active brain states. Think of it like how watching a water fall can trigger euphoric sensations or seeing a bigger than life skyscraper from the ground and it appears to reach into space!

Sight has a lot to do with the brain, information (overwhelming amounts!) is being fed to your brain constantly and based on many factors the brain filters out a lot of it (rather it only lets you consciously view and interpret/react to a lot of it) and you get a focused set of visual information (light).  There is truly only one real sense, can you guess what it is?  I'll give you a clue, it controls EVERYTHING and can access the brain from any of the 5 senses alone or collectively. It's "Touch".

Touch? How?

Prepare to be brought up to speed.

Think about this for a moment. To see, light touches the eyes and the brain interprets this data by converting light hitting the cones in the eyes into electrical signals which in turn are converted into information. You could say that the analog or physical signal is converted into a digital signal and the interpretation of that signal, what makes it what you think it is, how you see things in the end, is based on your own beliefs, understanding of your world, what everything means, etc...

To "feel" we touch surfaces of physical objects (including atmosphere) which sends data to the brain to interpret, when we hear what’s happening basically is tiny vibrations in the air (vibrate air thus “Move” it physically in a specific pattern) enter the ear and touch the middle ear where tiny sensitive hair fibers are vibrated and converted to an electric signal (the same way as the eyes convert light/sight into electrical signals) causing an electro-chemical signal that is sent to the brain where again information is interpreted.

When we "taste" the food  touches our tongue and information once again is sent to the brain based on the shapes and textures of the food or drink (or gas), when we smell our nose picks up the shapes of scent particles in the air which have complex microscopic shapes the brain interprets as a pattern. Some of our senses affect each other, i.e. taste is a combination of how what you’re eating smells and texture and other things too complex to put here. A guy actually invented a way to “smell” the internet by creating a corn cob shaped device with tiny chambers full of different synthetic oils which could be programmed to mix together on a “hot plate” by code that would spin the cob looking thing opening the chambers to release a drop of whatever “seasoning” oil was needed.

As the different oils hit the hot plate they created specific smells. They renditioned grass, paint, pizza (cheese and pepperoni) and more. It was the awareness that smells were simply shapes and textures microscopically that lead to the invention working. Unfortunately the project lost funding and was scrapped. I believe someday it will be revived. You could even “record” smells as the unit had brilliant artificial intelligence programming that could convert the smells through a sensor into a combination of oils that could rendition the effect (so you could email simple smells, not complex ones like cologne).

In every scenario of every sensory perception, the brain is the common denominator and interpreting or perceiving (based on memory and other factors) data in many forms is also a common denominator. If this is true then figuring out how to use the power of the mind and the power of memory one could do many amazing things. Imagine now watching a DVD and you have no speakers. Does the memory and experience of the movie shift? How about watching it twice, once with speakers and once without with the memory of what sounds were there… it’s a different experience!

Take away the screen and you only get to hear the movie. Does this affect how you remember (if you remember) the movie? Sure it does... What would the matrix be without the visuals? The sound effects?  They explained the philosophy, which in turn made the movie more personal, more impactful, and more educational!

This is the very basic concept I'm trying to show you here, the more senses you incorporate and add to your visualization skills the more real and vivid your experience. When we get sucked into a daydream realize that the more senses you use the more tranced out you become physically, in your daydream you can smell food, taste food, hear it (chips?), and see it.

If you practice building your memory and visualization skills you can go anywhere and see anything (in full fidelity) just by going into a trance. Our entire experience of life is fed into the brain through electrical signals from the five senses, and each and every one of them in one way or another decodes signals from “touch”, touch of light, air currents, physical shapes, and so on. If you really think about it, what is true time travel but to return to the exact same sensory experiences you had at any given time. This would be the same sensations of touch, simultaneously with the same visual, audio, kinesthetic, and intuitive, emotional and comprehension of the moment. Time travel in this sense is not possible because of the fact that we are always evolving with every breath so even if you could return to all the others your understanding would color your experience a different color!

We actually experience our life in sensory sensations. Every single moment is experienced as a compilation of our senses; this is our camera, speakers, keyboard, mouse, and computer all in one. The trick would be to return to the same recipe of sensory perception you were in at the moment in time you want to return to.

You could however experience about a 75% moment of time travel that would be enough to blow your mind. It’s all touch! Well touch converted into electrical signals which are converted into information….. You get the idea.

Truly remembering something vividly is simply being able to reconnect the most senses of remembered data at once. Most people remember the way things sounded, or the way they looked, but over time lose the associations with each other so they see but don’t hear the memory and thus it becomes less vivid.  Photographic memory is just someone who can continue to connect the dots to the five senses in any given moment in memory.

Most people simply let the association change as they go through life and redefine the plot points in those memories and its not that they can’t reconnect them, it’s just that through time when you don’t constantly remember something (like it was yesterday) other associations become like a junk signal and you can’t tune in the memory in full stereo… your watching a DVD with no sound, or sound no picture, and so on.

We will discuss time travel a bit more in the next page; I just wanted to "touch" on it here briefly. (so forgive me if I repeat any of the time travel information, it’s quite fascinating). I touch on it here as it relates to “memory” in the next page it will relate to “experience” of life, actually feeling like your “there” when “there” is actually “here” (confused? Patience the next page will explain a lot).

Some memories impact us so deeply, however, that the associations involved in them are continuously revived or triggered by things. In other words we build a filter in our mind that won’t allow anything to redefine those associations, but rather makes it define any associations that are attempted to be made. Kind of like that girl who you compare every other girl to… make “sense?” (Think about that phrase by the way “Make sense” it alone defines what I said in this whole article right? And to think the answers were there all along in your everyday language you probably never thought to question!
