The Charictoristics Of Alpha, Beta, Delta, Theta, Gamma, SMR Brain States

The Characteristics Of:

Alpha, Beta, Delta, Theta,

Gamma, SMR Brain States

Here we will list the most documented characteristics of the most well known stages of brain activity. Realize in each stage there are various levels and infinite possibilities…

ALPHA (8 - 13.9 Hz) Characteristics

Alpha state is one of the most fascinating states to us because of its networking uses in the body and soul. Some of the common characteristics of Alpha state are:

Relaxation, Super learning, Relaxed Focus, Light Trance, Increased Serotonin Production, Pre-Sleep –or-   Pre-waking, Drowsiness, Meditation, Beginning of access to unconscious mind, Concentration, Arousal, Alertness, Cognition, Higher levels associated with anxiety, feelings of separation, fight or flight responses (which stimulate adrenalin production)

BETA (14 - 20 Hz) Characteristics

Beta activity is 'fast' activity.

Some Characteristics of Beta state are:

Concentration, Arousal, Alertness, Cognition

Higher Beta levels (17-20 Hz) associated with:

anxiety, disease, feelings of Separation, fight or flight responses, Relaxation, Super learning, Relaxed Focus, Light Trance, Increased Serotonin Production, Pre-Sleep or Pre-waking drowsiness, Meditation, Beginning of access to unconscious mind

   DELTA ( .9 - 3.9 )  Characteristics

Delta is the slowest of the brain wave states occurring in the following characteristics:

Dreamless sleep, Human growth hormone released, Deep trance-like - non-physical state, loss of body awareness, access to unconscious and "collective consciousness" Mind

Gamma ( 36 + Hz )  Characteristics

Gamma (above 36 Hz)

Gamma is a Brain state that fascinates science, for it’s the least known about state, but its attributes are uncanny in our evolution!

Gamma is measured between 36 44 (Hz) and is the only frequency group found in every part of the brain. When the brain needs to simultaneously process information from different areas, it’s hypothesized that the 40Hz activity consolidates the required areas for simultaneous processing. A good memory is associated with well-regulated and efficient 40Hz activity, whereas a 40Hz deficiency creates learning disabilities.

THETA ( 4 - 7.9 Hz )  Characteristics

Theta is one of our favorites. Theta has been deemed the “Magic” State because of its ability to bring mystical experiences, creativity and more!

Some of the characteristics of Theta state are:

Dream Sleep {rem sleep}, Increased production of catecholamine - (vital for learning and memory), Increased creativity, Potential change in behavior, Lucid Dreaming, Hypnogogic states (hallucinations), Powerful vivid memory states (i.e. if your in a deep theta trance and you look around the room then close your eyelids you will think your looking through your see through eyelids but realistically your memory is so strong that your brain remembers the room and moving your head it remembers where your head was when you saw what you saw etc… this is an experience you have with our hypnogogic hologram tracks.

We use this state most of all in our music for all the benefits above and below.

Below are some of the following characteristics of theta state brain activity:

Increased retention, of learned material,  Hypnogogic Imagery, Trance, deep meditation, Access to unconscious mind, Dream Sleep {rem (rapid eye movement) sleep}, Increased production of catecholamine (vital for learning and memory), Increased creativity, Integrative emotional experiences, Potential change in behavior, Increased retention of learned material, Hypnogogic Imagery, trance, deep meditation, Access to unconscious mind

SMR 12-15 Hz (12.7 Hz Peak frequency)

This is a very new very unknown state, so far this is all we could find on it:

Passive Intellectual activity
